Adopt a hairy footed flower bee through Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and help our wild creatures thrive!

New for 2023: our physical adoption packs are making a return, filled with exclusive plastic free and recycled/recyclable items. These packs will fit through a standard letterbox, so no tricky delivery arrangements to manage!

270 species of bee have made their home in the UK. 93% of those are solitary bees, meaning that they do not live in colonies like bumblebees. Hairy-footed flower bees are solitary bees and are one of five species of flower bee that live in the UK.

With bee populations in decline throughout the UK, the conservation work, education and advice we provide helps reverse this trend. The money raised from your adoption will go towards the costs of carrying out this work, directly contributing to the survival of this endangered species so that populations can continue to grow.

Adoptees receive:

• a factsheet about hairy footed flower bees
• an adoption certificate
• a welcome letter from us
• a thank you message with a note to the recipient from you
• a set of 2 postcards featuring an exclusive image
• an A5 notebook, blank inside, perfect for nature jotting and sketching
• a wooden keyring with the WWT logo
• child packs will also contain a printed copy of our exclusive Create Your Own Nature Reserve game

Plus, throughout the year, we'll send 2 updates via email to the recipient with facts, news and updates about hairy footed flower bees and the Trust.

Please note: packs are sent via Royal Mail and we recommend allowing 7 days for delivery.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is entitled to reclaim the tax made on gifts by UK tax payers. This means that if you are a UK tax payer, your donation can increase by 25% - at no extra cost to you. If you choose to gift aid your donation, please remember that you need to have paid an amount of UK Income and/or Capital Gains tax in any tax year at least equal to the amount claimed by all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs you donate to, (currently 25p per £1 donated). If this will not be the case or you cease to be a taxpayer, please let us know. Also, if you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax in the current year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
