Stuck for that perfect gift idea? Our postal gift will make a unique and thoughtful present for a loved one and will help to halt the decline of dormice across Worcestershire.
We will send a beautiful card which can be posted to you so that you can add a personal greeting, or it can be delivered directly to your friend or relative.
The dormouse is one of Britain's rarest mammals. It lives and nests in woodland and hedgerows, much of which has been lost in recent years. This adorable species has already disappeared in 7 counties throughout the UK and in others it is in decline. It is therefore considered a priority conservation species.
We are lucky to have dormice on four of our nature reserves; Hunthouse Wood, Blackhouse Wood, Monkwood and the Knapp and Papermill. Your gift will help us to protect the woodland and hedgerow habitats on our nature reserves and encourage dormice by putting up nest boxes, monitoring populations and by planting native trees.
* Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is entitled to reclaim the tax made on gifts by UK tax payers. This means that if you are a UK tax payer, your donation can increase by 25% - at no extra cost to you. If you choose to gift aid your donation, please remember that you need to have paid an amount of UK Income and/or Capital Gains tax in any tax year at least equal to the amount claimed by all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs you donate to, (currently 25p per £1 donated). If this will not be the case or you cease to be a taxpayer, please let us know. Also, if you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax in the current year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
