Seedballs make a super little gift that is easily posted!
Brilliantly blue British cornflowers. These iconic and distinctive flowers are fantastic for bees, beetles, butterflies and moths, and are a simply marvellous addition to any wildlife garden. They are also edible with a cucumber-like taste, and can be used in salads, as a garnish or infused as a tea!
A simple way to create your own wild garden, each ball contains native wildflower seeds mixed with clay, peat-free compost and a hint of chilli powder. The dried clay acts as a protective casing from seed predators and when rain permeates it, the seeds begin to germinate - helped by the nutrients and minerals within. Chilli powder deters predators whilst the seed ball slowly degrades and seeds sprout. Just scatter on top of soil or compost. All seeds are responsibly sourced in the UK.
Each ball contains on average 8 seeds, and each tin will provide coverage for 1 square metre in a garden, or 3-5 medium sized pots. Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.
